Introduction to Pas de la Casa, Andorra
Pas de la Casa sits near the border of Andorra and France. It is a major ski and snow resort town that has built itself up over many centuries on its important strategic location as an important pass through the mountains. The opening of the Envalira Tunnel has not made a dent in tourism here and Pas de la Casa hotels and ski resorts continue to enjoy maximum occupancy most days of the year. The main ski resort is right at the French border and it is one of the more expensive hotels in Pas de la Casa. Because of the proximity of Pas de la Casa to the airports in Barcelona and Toulouse, the town has a great record of attracting winter tourists from Ireland and Britain. The thumping nightlife is not to every traveller’s taste but younger travellers and groups should find themselves in heaven with a great range of busy bars and cafes.
