Introduction to Ordino, Andorra
The Sorteny National Park is located in Ordino which is the name of the largest urban area of the Andorran parish of the same name. The Casamanya mountain is visible from almost all parts of town and hikes to the top of the mountain reward hikers with incredible panoramic views of Andorra. Ordino is located pretty much in the centre of the country so the mountain is like a huge mark of centrality in Andorra. Typical Ordino hotels are only one or two storeys high and are usually located in the town’s winding cobble stone laneways. Prices are reasonable since many visitors in search of hotels in Ordino are not travelling on to the more expensive ski resort town of Vallnord Ordino-Arcalis, which is to the northwest of Ordino.
