Introduction to La Massana, Andorra
La Massana is the largest town of the Andorran province of the same name. The treacherous terrain here includes the Coma Pedrosa, which is the tallest mountain in Andorra. La Massana hotels benefit from the major tourism industry here which bases itself around winter sports like snowboarding, ski biking and skiing and then the summer activities of hiking, mountain biking, off roading, and mountain climbing. Some hotels in La Massana will display classes and groups for all the activities in season on their foyer noticeboards and in some cases trips and tours will be operated by the hotel itself. Tobacco is grown in nearby Sispony and the Farga Rossell is an interesting historical building that is still a working iron forge. La Massana hotels are often booked out during the fiestas and festivals held all year long.
