Introduction to La Massana - Anyos
The ancient village of Anyos sits just south of the small Andorran town of La Massana and offers visitors a picturesque and fascinating glimpse of this mountainous region of Europe. Those staying at the small collection of Anyos hotels and guesthouses can enjoy the narrow cobblestone streets of the village and should not miss the opportunity to admire the Church of St Christopher, with its Romanesque styling and early 11th century date. Summertime visitors should consider a stop here on 10 July when the pretty place celebrates its annual fiesta, focused around the local priest's blessing of a carriage adjacent to the church in honour of the village's patron saint.
