Introduction to Arinsal - Ski Area
Arinsal is an attractive mountain town that is part of the ski resort area of Vallnord in Andorra, sandwiched between Spain and France. Loaded with traditional architecture, it is a popular ski resort in winter, and a favourite location for summer bushwalking in the warmer months. Most visitors come for the amazing skiing opportunities. The lift system here has been recently modernised, with a total of 31 lifts. All grades of skier are catered for, though the majority of runs are graded as intermediate. Snowboarders will not be disappointed either. There is also a lively apres-ski scene. The best place to find accommodation is the main ski area. This comes in the form of lodges, chalets and Western style hotels. A number of Arinsal hotels are clustered together near Pal Arinsal, the resort section of Arinsal ski area. This is also the place to stay if you want to be right near the main chair lifts.
