Introduction to Arinsal - City Centre
There is usually just one reason that people come to the tiny principality of Andorra, and that is the fantastic skiing. One resort where visitors are guaranteed a great ski experience from December to March is Arinsal. This village, set in the Pyrenees close to the border with Spain, spans the mountainside between 1,550 and 2,560 metres. Skiers are not the only sportspersons catered for here; the resort offers superb snowboarding and summer hiking and biking. In between activities visitors can unwind amid stunning scenery, with most Arinsal City Centre hotels offering excellent views of the surrounding mountains. A cable car links the village with the slopes at Arinsal, Pal, Ordino-Arcalis and Vallnord, nearby ski areas. This is the setting for the downhill and cross country circuits of Vallnord Bike Park in the warm months (June to September), when the village sees significantly fewer visitors. Both the pistes and biking tracks offer something for all levels of ability.
