Introduction to Vlore, Albania
Vlore is also known as Vlora and both spellings are used in signage all over the town, though road signs in the motorways that approach the city will invariably use the spelling, Vlore. Vlore hotels are usually located inside beautiful old buildings such as the Old Catholic Church and the Municipal Building. These ornate old structures house some of the most expensive and beautiful hotels in Vlore. Being the second largest and second most important port in Albania (after Durres) maritime and naval activity is prominent here and many of the most authentic and atmospheric Vlore hotels are located on the waterfront, down near the commercial port that faces the Adriatic Sea.
